Overview
When the coronavirus outbreak began locally and Safer at Home orders went into effect, LA-Más pivoted its operational model to provide immediate assistance to neighbors directly impacted by the crisis.
LA-Más partnered with local organizations to launch Northeast LA Community Response. With a group of dedicated volunteers, the LA-Más team is calling neighbors, identifying needs, and connecting them to resources such as free food delivery, rent or mortgage information, unemployment filing, among others. The initial phase of this initiative is focused on reaching residents in Frogtown, with plans to expand outreach to broader Northeast LA.

This initiative is made possible by a collective of community organizations, grocers, foundations, government partners, and residents who are committed to supporting impacted neighbors.
